Description

The excellent build and image quality of the VFM-056W-Premium makes it a great little onboard camera monitor or handheld director’s monitor. A compact and lightweight magnesium-alloy case houses a 5.6 in. native 1280 x 800 resolution and 5.5 in. Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution LED backlit LCD display.

The monitor also comes equipped with a full complement of features, including DSLR scale, focus assist, various scan modes, markers, audio level meter with speaker, timecode display, waveform/vectorscope, Y-level check and range error. It accepts multiple input formats including analog, SD/HD-SDI and HDMI, plus it has a HDMI direct loop out via HD-SDI (1280 x 720 59.94i/p only).

The DSLR scale function is especially designed for some DSLR cameras whose outputs have a different resolution while previewing and recording or during playback. In the case of the Canon 5D Mark II, when the record button is pressed resolution drops from 1080i in preview mode to 480p. The DSLR scale function scales the image to 1280 x 800 (panel resolution) and displays it full screen.
